Registered Architect, NCARB

Graduating from the University of Arizona in Architecture Magna Cum Laude was the end of a long career path that took me from a Biology Degree at the University of Saskatchewan to a stint as a line cook then self taught chef and pastry chef and finally returning to academia to pursue Architecture.

At the University of Arizona I realized that my critical thinking skills and my ability to adapt and apply new technologies to design problems was much better than I thought. I succeeded at endeavors where the unknown was the dominant paradigm, whether teaching myself AutoCAD, 3D AutoCAD or hand building delicate structures in steel.

Once in the professional world I found my past skills as a chef helping with my professional relationships and my critical thinking skills greatly helping with learning and deploying new technologies such as REVIT. Altruism being a belief of mine I championed new, young interns inclusion and participation in all process that I could delegate to them. I also developed and led REVIT tutorials during my lunch for the rest of the employees so that we as a firm could get up to speed with the latest, and what I believe to be the future of, Architectural drafting technologies.
